The launch of the first Handbook for Adequate Natural Data Stewardship (HANDS) in the university medical centres (UMCs) will take place at the conference Empowering Personalized Medicine & Health Research. This practical handbook will assist every researcher in their research. HANDS provides both guidelines and practical tools, infrastructure and expertise for handling research data.
HANDS is a product of the The Netherlands Federation of UMCs (NFU) project Data4lifesciences. This programme aspires to create a research data infrastructure that can be used by doctors and investigators at the UMCs to retrieve clinical & experimental data on all UMC-related patients and make them available to partners in the Netherlands and abroad.
